Watch Chance the Rapper Perform on Late Night TV for the First Time

With a year like the one Chance the Rapper has had, you’d think all the buzz from his critically acclaimed Acid Rapid mixtape would’ve secured him a regular spot on late night TV before now. But last night, Chance made his late night debut with a stand-out performance of “Chain Smoker” from that mixtape on the Arsenio Hall Show. With a full backing band, including a horn section, the young Chicago rapper sounded like the lead vocalist of a gospel choir converting the entire audience into a Chance believer if they weren’t one already. In addition to performing, he also took the time to chat with Arsenio about what he’s learned from Eminem, Chicago violence, and starting a rapper’s union.
