While the announcement of St. Vincent’s forthcoming album had already generated a fair amount of excitement, it was the release of “Birth in Reverse” and “Digital Witness” that sent the blogosphere into a Annie Clark-loving frenzy. To further compound that anticipation, St. Vincent recently stopped by NPR for All Songs Considered and shared some great anecdotes—like her naked encounter with a rattlesnake, or that time she was hallucinating on Amibien—that acted as inspiration for her new project.
On top of sharing the ideas behind her record, Annie also shared snippets of previously unheard songs. Listen to the insightful and humorous interview over at NPR. St. Vincent will be released on February 25.
