When Seinabo Sey begins to sing, it feels like you’re watching one of those time-lapsed flowers bloom—she brings an almost physical light into her breakout hit “Younger,” and the spirit of renewal continues in the song’s video.
We follow the singer and a group of friends/family/possible squatters into an abandoned home, where they proceed to let the sun shine in and fill it up with some good old-fashioned togetherness. It’s a moment of hope coming out of sadness, bittersweet reflections on aging from the budding Swedish songstress. There’s also some good tree porn mixed in, so win-win for everybody.
