New Jersey enigma Blood Cultures impressed late last year with the hugely exciting “Indian Summer,” and not too long ago, he saw fit to finally grace us with another song. For an artist with only two songs under his belt, his new offering, “Mercury Child,” is surprisingly well defined. With its wailing synths, muffled vocals, and generally blissful vibe, “Mercury Child” is just as delightful as the muted euphoria of “Indian Summer.” Like the shimmering gem that it is, the tropical infused track strives to please with its bright rhythms. Let’s hope that Blood Cultures comes forth and reveals himself soon, because he clearly deserves a little time in the spotlight.
