I used to listen to Conor Oberst much more than I do now. From age 15 to maybe 17, back when I thought Oberst to be some sort of modern day Shakespeare, those Bright Eyes albums (especially Fevers & Mirrors and Digital Ash in a Digital Urn) got a lot plays. I don’t listen as much anymore, but hearing Oberst’s singular, trembling voice on “Hundreds Of Ways,” the first single from his forthcoming solo album, has me feeling those feelings once again. Listen below.
Conor Oberst’s forthcoming solo album Upside Down Mountain is scheduled for release May 20 via Nonesuch Records.
