As a part of Young Turks’ takeover of the Sydney, Australia-based radio station, FBi Radio, Jamie xx—the English music producer and remix artist who has also gained notoriety as a member of The xx—paired up with Four Tet to take control of the decks. The takeover itself was littered with guest appearances—including Earl Sweatshirt, Domo Genesis, and Sampha—but Four Tet and Jamie xx were the undisputed stars, unveiling some completely new material during their DJ sets, including their previously unheard collaborative cut, “Seesaw.”
The track has a distinctly nocturnal vibe as it riffs over a hypnotic pulse for just over four minutes, and is highlighted by a series of glimmering chords that close out the song. If you’re having those middle-of-the-work-week blues, then put this one on, and just let your mind drift away for a moment.
