Kendrick Lamar is Planning to Release His New Album in September

ScHoolboy Q’s new album Oxymoron dropped this past week, and to coincide with the release, Billboard magazine featured Q and the TDE crew for their latest cover story. The piece details TDE’s rise, taking a look at the progression of Kendrick Lamar and ScHoolboy Q’s respective careers, as well as what’s next for the label. This includes details on Lamar’s highly anticipated good kid, m.A.A.d city follow-up, which TDE CEO Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith tells the magazine is due out this September. Not only that, but the rumored Black Hippy album, featuring Lamar, Q, Ab-Soul, and Jay Rock, is also likely to drop sometime later this year.

ScHoolboy Q on his Oxymoron track, “Prescription/Oxymoron”:

I say in the song, ‘I had a ball selling [OxyContin] 80s, but yo, the karma’s worse,’ and that’s true. Once I was done dealing, I got addicted to Xanax and Percocets. My past came back to haunt me.
