While Channel Orange was a huge success in 2012, it looks like the team that helped Frank Ocean with it won’t be on board for his sophomore album.
According to BuzzFeed, Ocean has fired his management and publicist—the same teams who work with Odd Future—in advance of his second official album. Hollywood agency ID PR has been hired by the singer, and the new management has not been named yet.
Representatives for Frank Ocean and Christian and Kelly Clancy, his former managers, have yet to reveal what the cause of this shift was.
In more positive news, director Nabil Elderkin has been working closely with Frank, and has said he’s “making a great record,” confirming “that shit is fire.”
