Grimes just upped the ante for her Governors Ball set this Friday. Through a couple of tweets, the singer announced today that she’d be performing three new tracks at the New York City festival, including one she and Blood Diamonds had written for Rihanna. The song was turned down, but she’ll close her set with the rejected track, and despite describing it as “different than regular Grimes,” she gives a heads up to all planning to go to “stick around for my final song it’s special & top secret & new.”
It’s been a while since we’ve heard new music from Grimes, so the prospect of unreleased songs should have fans hot and heavy with anticipation. If you’re going to Governors Ball, don’t miss out. Grimes goes on at 8:15 p.m. on Friday, June 6.
