Video: Woman’s Hour – “Conversations”

Sometimes simplicity is all it takes to make an engaging set of visuals. Woman’s Hour’s new video for “Conversations” is a beautifully understated work based off American choreographer and dancer Trisha Brown’s Group Primary Accumulation.

If you’re not up on your postmodern dance history, then just imagine a more artistic version of the “Single Ladies” dance. Lead singer Fiona Burgess describes the trippy black and white visual as: “Four non-dancers engaged in a conversation with ourselves. Separately together. The video highlights this isolation. Four people silently moving in sync.”

Woman’s Hour is getting ready to release their debut album Conversations on July 21 through Secretly Canadian. If you like what you hear make sure to check them out when they go on tour. The dates are below.
