With the announcement of HUMANZ, Gorillaz entered the conversation for 2017's best album. Because the announcement was more than just that—three singles and a 360-degree video were released as well, and they're all incredible. 

Gorillaz co-creators Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett followed it up with a live performance of the album in London. Featured guests like Danny Brown, Kelela, and Pusha T made it a star-studded event—and while it's still early, it sounds like the Gorillaz have come through yet again with an incredible album. Many album of the year contenders released work last year, so we had to ask: are Gorillaz about to drop the best album of 2017?
