The Ting Tings – Sounds From Nowheresville

Its been almost 4 years since The Ting Tings released their carefree, and very successful debut album We Started Nothing. Whether its the trouble they’ve had with their label, the pressure of living up to their chart bothering debut, or their stated aim of including a mix of styles, the album is quite frankly a bit of a mess, while the shouty delivery of lead singer Katie White quickly grows tiresome. Props should be given to the band for not simply replicating the formula of their debut, so here’s hoping their next album will see the band more focused and streamlined.
