Trinidad James and the Giant Peach
After his parents get devoured by an escaped rhinocerous, a young Trinidad James must live with his cruel, abusive aunts in a rundown house in the Atlanta suburbs. One day while crying in the bushes, James is visited by Bishop Don Magic Juan; immediately recognizing the boy's plight, he whispers, "More gold, playa, more gold." Handing James a sack of chains, rings, watches, puppies, and, curiously, a rotting peach, Don Magic Juan disappears in a cloud of champagne and crocodile leather. James adorns himself with the contents of the bag, dives inside the magic rotten peach, proceeds to pop a molly, and sweats his way to freedom. Adapted from an unpublished screenplay by Roald Dahl and George Clinton.
