It all started with the hit single “Kukere,” and now Nigeria's Iyanya is a household name. Lately Iyanya has been shying away from recording music to tour around the U.K. and at festivals like the Gidi Culture Festival in Lagos. He's also taken up acting, and he's set to appear in his first Nollywood film later this year.
His music has made Iyanya somewhat of a national sex symbol, with tracks like “Sexy Mama,” “Ur Waist," and “Mr. Oreo” gaining club banger status throughout Lagos. From this buzz he was able to expand his label Made Men Music Group, signing artists like Selebobo, Tekno Miles, and Beso.
