To me, Lil Wayne is one of the most captivating artists out. The video, directed by Hype Williams, is very literal besides a few Inception references, but it’s also very visually appealing, and when Weezy’s on the screen, I have a hard time not paying attention.

I think Drake once said that Wayne was the closest thing our generation has to a Jimi Hendrix. Not musically (we all know that Wayne needs guitar lessons), but as a polarizing, controversial, charismatic, iconic figure. It’s a bold statement, and a lot of people thought Drake was out of line for saying it, but it kind of made sense to me. Trust me, I love Jimi Hendrix and I don’t mean to get anyone worked up, but I really do believe that as an entertainer, Wayne has that kind of captivating aura.
