Azealia Banks is something like the updated, female version of what Spank Rock was. She’s got R-rated, sexually charged lyrics, a rapidly rising buzz, and her choice of production leans more towards house music than rap beats. She calls herself a “rap bitch,” but she’s also a classically trained performance artist, so while questions of authenticity will probably swirl once she officially blows up, for now she’s undeniably cool,┬áso get familiar. Here’s her latest track, “Liquorice.”

And in case you were wondering, Mumford and Sons approve.
