Frank Ramz‘ Quite Frankly has finally arrived. Working with Ramz over the past few years has given me a lot of insight into what he’s all about, and one of the things that stands out most is integrity. It doesn’t seem like an important thing for a rapper to have. In some cases, it might actually be detrimental. But you get the idea that it’s not a choice, it’s something you either have or you don’t, and Ramz definitely has it. Integrity reveals itself through plenty of different situations, but none more obvious than the music. You can hear it in his words, in the delivery. You can tell that Ramz didn’t take any shortcuts on this album—he was more concerned about doing things the right way than the easy way.
While integrity might not be a choice, it’s also not something you’re born with. It’s something that takes shape as character builds. Listen to Quite Frankly and it’s obvious that Frank Ramz has been building that character his entire life.
