Dante’s “Next To You” (a cover of Clarence Carter)┬ástarts off with the same kind of dramatic backdrop that you’d find in the most soul-wrenching of Phil Collins tunes, but the similarity dies there. As for the rest of what makes up “Next To You,” imagine a splash of Akon and a few shakes of (as Arjun points out) Mr. Hudson. If it sounds cheesy, then you’ll probably find it cheesy, but you may also find it hard not to start swaying along with as you raise your lighter in the air before realizing that you shouldn’t be doing that while you’re at work.
