Diplo’s Express Yourself EP is on it’s way, a compilation from a producer who we’ve known is exceptionally versatile for a long time, but hasn’t released a record dedicated to his ability to jump around genres since 2004’s Florida. Outside of the title track, this is the first we’re hearing off of the tape. It’s a cool piece of moombahton that sounds faster than its 108bpm signature and relies on its vocal sample and percussion changes to keep it interesting, and those elements are up to the challenge here. The beat switch at 2:30 got me. Express Yourself drops on June 12th, and in true Diplodian style includes a host of collaborators, including Datsik, Elephant Man and Flinch.
