Airy, guilt-free pop music is so hot right now. When you consider the success of acts like Foster the People, Gotye, and most recently The Neighbourhood, it’s easy to see why this sound and genre is being so openly explored by independent young artists. The newest such embodiment of this style comes by way of SoCal dream-pop collective Ko Ko, which is comprised of brothers Ryan and Taylor Lawhon. The duo recently released their debut, three-track EP entitled Float, on which they demonstrate an ability to craft hazy, yet lighthearted pieces of pop euphoria that will pair perfectly with any relaxing summertime activity. The EP’s lead track “Float” is below, but be sure to hit their Bandcamp page to hear the all three songs. You will not regret it.
