With bands like The xx proving that the gap between indie and electronic music is bridgeable in extremely interesting ways, it’s always exciting to find bands mining that very combination in new ways. Colour The Atlas, an English four-piece, is doing just that by adding a glitchy, synth-touched sheen to what could have been straightforward indie folk. The experimentation paid off on their recently released EP, a three track collection that serves as a sort of mission statement for the band. The best track, “Snow,” is below, but you can grab the whole EP on iTunes or a free download of a separate track, “Blue Eyes” over at the bands website.
