“Baby” is the kind of track that could have easily been a straightforward hit, but it’s not. It flirts with that over-the-top, polished, boyband-ish kind of pop that will surely make some of the more indie-minded listeners cringe, but it’s informed by current electronic, retro soul, and the kind of worldly dancefloor driving pop that a lot of U.K. acts are pulling off with class. Give “Baby” a listen below, and look out for Rudimental’s debut album on April 29.
