There’s a special place for lo-fi pop music that sounds fit for an ’80s prom, especially for lo-fi pop music that sounds fit for an ’80s prom and is also about pleading with a samurai not to die. xPRIESTx is vocalist Madeline Priest along with producers Chandler Strang and David Kazyk. The project started in January of 2013 and their debut EP is set to drop this fall. So far, “Samurai” is their only song, but it’s a catchy, bubbly track with a dark underbelly and a chorus that I have been singing for the past 10 minutes while writing this post. Keep an eye on their Soundcloud for more.
