With Phantogram’s sophomore album Voices just slightly over a month away, the duo let loose a fourth track from the album called “Nothing But Trouble.” While typically Phantogram is known for shiny synth-pop, this one sheds some of the band’s electronic sound for more of a rock edge. Particularly in the song’s third act, after a bass-pounding breakdown it shifts into a killer guitar solo where the song is at its finest. Not to mention Sarah Barthel’s luscious voice sounds in top form throughout.
