You may have already heard “Anytime” when R&B songstress Ciara debuted it last week at the after-party for the Grammys, but now the Atlanta superstar has released the studio version of the song, featuring her partner-in-crime/hubby, Future. Produced by Boi-1da and Katalyst, the track is yet another compelling example of the syurpy pop chemistry that the two share, as they proclaim themselves to be the new Bonnie and Clyde, while declaring their unflappable thug love for one another. Jay Z and Beyoncé may have a thing or two to say on the Bonnie and Clyde note but, regardless of which duo is more deserving of the label, it’s hard to argue against having another power couple in pop music.
Whether or not this song will end up on an album remains to be seen. Ciara already released her eponymous album back in July, but frequent collaborator, Mike WiLL Made It, revealed back in September that she’s already returned to the studio and has started recording for her next album. Is this release a sign that a new LP is just around the corner?
