British duo Hockeysmith, sisters Annie and Georgie, just keep getting better and better. We first fell in love with the slithering epic “Let’s Bang,” nearly seven minutes of whirling guitar and vocal interplay, and subsequent shorter songs have each packed more of a punch and pulsated with a more potent energy than the last.

Their latest song is “Hesitate,” which sees clear, precise vocals contrasted with manic production that somehow ties shogazey reverb, acid house synths, and an industrial chug together in a cohesive package. “Hesitate” features alongside “But Blood,” “Meanwhile,” and the as yet unheard “Phantom Whistle” on Hockeysmith’s But Blood EP, out May 26 via Double Denim.
