In a display of the Atlanta rap scene’s power, Migos drop “New Atlanta,” pulling in the talents of the flamboyant Young Thug and Rich Homie Quan to officially celebrate the new generation of Atlanta hip-hop. Joining the future of the ATL is the legend Jermaine Dupri, who first introduced us to the city with his anthem, “Welcome to Atlanta.” His presence on this track is of high importance, serving as both a stamp of approval, and a respectful nod to the past.

The song works in a little bit of everything that makes the city’s hip-hop so damn good—hints of auto-tune, frenetic flows, rowdy ad-libbing, and catchy one-liners leave no doubt about the future of Atlanta’s sound. “New Atlanta” is the lead single off Migos’ iTunes release, No Label 2, out June 3.
