A day after making her forthcoming album LP1 available for streaming online, rising star FKA twigs paid Zane Lowe and BBC Radio 1 a visit for an on-air session.

During the nearly 30 minute time slot, FKA played three songs—“Two Weeks,” “Give Up,” and “Pendulum”—and conducted an interview with her band by her side. She touches on what fans can expect in the near future as well as how she got into music in the first place—that is, as a backup dancer who realized it was the music she was dancing to that was the real draw for her. She dropped out of dance college, spent some time in Los Angeles and New York City working on music, returned to her hometown London to develop her career as an artist, and the rest is history.

Listen to the interview below, and stay tuned for more. LP1 releases on August 12.
