The pipeline from Scandinavia runs rich with a plentiful stream of electronic and pop music. The supply of engaging and innovative sounds from the area never seems to end, and this time we see it in the form of Baby Duka—producer and graphic designer for Kwamie Liv, another talent hailing from the region. Living in Denmark’s capital of Copenhagen, Baby Duka’s work was first showcased on a large scale with the release of Kwamie Liv’s EP Lost in the Girl—a project in which he helped produce six of the seven songs.

Today, we premiere the first track off Baby Duka’s MASKULINE Mixtape, a lurching remix of CocoRosie’s chilling song “Beautiful Boyz.” Using the song’s hook Baby Duka sends the haunting sample loose over throbbing production, quickly filling our airwaves with the tormented wailings of the sister duo. It can be both frightening and enjoyable, with both effects working to summon you back for more. Stay tuned for the mixtape set to be released later this fall.
