A few months ago, Thom Yorke released a full surprise album online via BitTorrent. That eight-track album only cost fans $6.00. Now, according to his Twitter, he wants to carry on with this “experimental” way of releasing his music. Yorke’s latest single is available on his Bandcamp page and you can purchase it at whatever price you would prefer.
The new single titled “Youwouldn’tlikemewhenI’mangry” sounds like the calm before the storm. In a very relaxing voice, Yorke explains that you wouldn’t like him if he were to get angry. But it comes off as more of a warning than a calm threat. If you let it, Yorke’s voice could easily put you into a trance.
It’s a surprise that he would give a song this good away for practically free. Thom Yorke appears to be testing the waters with alternate ways to release his own music and he seems to like how it’s working out.
