Brooklyn label Mixpak are always bringing the bright vibes with their releases (Popcaan’s album Where We Come From was one of their big successes in 2014), and now they’ve tapped UK producer Murlo for the two track Jasmine EP, with both tracks featuring singer Gemma Dunleavy. Murlo killed it last year, releasing two excellent instrumental EPs, Into Mist and Plume with JT The Goon, both full of vibrant, vivid melodies, and working with a vocalist is only going to help get more people interested in his unique sound in 2015.

“Jasmine” is a perfectly executed blend of dancehall, R&B, and straight up pop music—inventive enough to deserve numerous replays but catchy enough to connect with a new audience. The Jasmine EP comes out February 10, listen to the title track below.
