two 9 mixtape

Atlanta collective Two-9 just dropped B4FRVR, their first official release via Ear Drummer Records (Mike WiLL Made-It‘s Interscope imprint). The group, who’ve been performing together since 2009, are nicely poised to ride the ATL rap wave into 2015. This release features label-mates Rae Sremmurd and Childish Major, as well as Wiz Khalifa, Ty Dolla $ign, and Metro Boomin on the tape’s first single “Full House.”

Executive produced by Mike WiLL, the mixtape is (unsurprisingly) polished and includes some pretty club-ready jams—there’s a nice mix of laid-back grooves and bangers (“Money Counter” in particular will have you turned all the way up). On B4FRVRTwo-9 seem as ready as anyone to keep up Atlanta’s dominant position in hip-hop (and also confirm Mike WiLL as one of the genre’s primary tastemakers).

If you’re in Atlanta this Friday, Two-9 is hosting a release party at The Masquerade, with all tickets on sale at $2.90 (get it?).
