On April 7, Lapalux’s Lustmore album will arrive at long last. We’re getting one more track to hold us over for the time being: “Puzzle” is the third cut we’ve heard thus far, and it cements Lapalux’s legacy as one of the smoothest purveyors of lo-fi funk in the game.

With Andreya Triana providing some far-off, extra-terrestrial vocals and a rare saxophone solo sighting, “Puzzle” seems to be neither here nor there, somewhere between sleep and waking life. It’s a concept that Lapalux says runs throughout the album: hypnagogia, the liminal state directly above and beneath consciousness. Sink in to “Puzzle” below.
