Back in January, 19-year-old Brooklyn native Jay Bel caught our attention and we’ve been keeping an eye and ear on his work since then. His music thus far has featured hazy sounding production that doesn’t distract from his own rhyme flow but instead creates an interesting juxtaposition.

I can only speak for myself on this one, but his latest single “TransEuro” may be his best track to date and proves that this young rapper continues to get better with time. The Gamal-produced track features woozy synths and a subtle bounce that help both Jay Bel and Jimi Tents stand out. The catchiest element of the track however may be the melody that you will find yourself humming to yourself just after one listen. With his debut LP Bohemia expected to be released sometime in May, it seems safe to say that Jay Bel has a lot of good things in store for us in the near future.
