P&P favorite Daye Jack just dropped “Save My Soul,” a titanic ode to those persevering through loneliness and phoniness. The single is set to appear on the 19-year-old’s forthcoming Soul Glitch project.
As Daye told Complex: “‘Save My Soul’ is about losing people in an attempt to get what you want. It’s about the sacrifices you make in order to fully commit to something, asking if it’s worth it.”
Ascending artists severing ties with hanger-ons and cancerous relationships has become a common tale of the entertainment industry, one Jack seems to be in the midst of. Give the excellent followup to “Trapped In Love” a spin or two below.
Soul Glitch arrives via Warner Bros. Records June 30, free of charge and, if the Atlanta rapper’s recent songs are any indication, filled with heat.
