For some songs, the focal point can be the infectious beat. However, that never seems to be the case for any of Jack Garratt’s song because his voice is the first thing to pull listeners in. In his case, the impressive instrumentation is really just a great bonus.
Garratt’s latest single “Weathered” begins with a calming rhythm being provided by just a drum and a guitar. His voice is the last, but most important piece to complete this soothing puzzle. Once the song reaches the climax, it’s apparent that neither the instruments or Garratt’s voice are outshining the other but actually working together to take the song to new heights.
