Last year, Chance The Rapper collaborated with Skrillex for “Coast Is Clear,” a playful effort with smiley synths handled by electronic music’s poster child. Chance’s brother-in-arms from the Chi, Vic Mensa, evidently next in line, just followed suit with “No Chill.” The song’s title sums it up quite nicely.

The Beats 1-premiered single finds the Roc Nation artist confidently navigating tumultuous territory. Operatic and sped-up samples linger throughout. Mensa taps pop culture, name-dropping David Copperfield and Allen Iverson (among others), as he alternates between crooning through vocoders and cleanly spewing bars. Listen to the banger below, and expect to hear it at various gatherings this weekend.
