Over the past year, it seems everything really has been a go for Washington D.C. rapper Chaz French: his 2014 mixtape Happy Belated generated a lot of buzz for the up-and-coming rapper, and we’ve been waiting with bated breath for him to drop new music ever since. He answered our prayers earlier this month with the Saba-featuring “What Ya Say,” and he’s back at it today with “A Go!,” which you can check out below.

The beat is simplistic but darkly gritty, and Chaz French spits his optimistic bars with confident enthusiasm: “You can’t be scared of growth, n***a, ’cause that’s just how it go, ’cause that’s just how it go / When you traveling down this road, n***a, people paying for the tow.”

He said of the track, “There’s a lot on the horizon and a bunch of new work coming real soon. It’s no time for any excuses from me or my team. It’s GO TIME! So I felt like this record went well with the current mood. Hope people feel it. Struggle what made us.”

Chaz French is expected to release some sort of new project this fall via 368 Music Group.
