G.O.O.D. Music has been kind of a mystery in the past few years. It’s unclear exactly what G.O.O.D. Music is and who’s affiliated, but as with all Kanye West endeavors, maybe it’s better that way.

One of the best and most surprising things to come from G.O.O.D. Music in the past few years is the emergence of Kacy Hill. A former model and Yeezus tour dancer, Kacy Hill comes with connections and major label backing, but her music is tastefully subtle. There’s no big, in-your-face moment on Bloo, just strong songwriting, gorgeous vocals, and cool production. There are tones of Florence Welch (“Arm’s Length”) and James Blake (“Foreign Fields”) that hint at Kacy’s ambition as a serious artist, as opposed to a hit-chaser. It will be interesting to see where Kacy Hill goes from here—for now, listen to Bloo.
