Yesterday, Aaron and Bryce Dessner of The National released the massive Day of the Dead 10xLP boxset charity compilation project as a tribute to The Grateful Dead. Featuring over 60 artists from varied musical backgrounds and 59 tracks (almost six hours in content!), Day of the Dead highlights the legendary band’s songwriting and experimentalism.
One of the highlights from the project is Grizzly Bear’s Ed Droste and Little Joy’s Binki Shapiro‘s collab on their cover of “Loser.” The song is one of the deeper Dead cuts so it’s great to see that it was brought back with a modern twist.
