A couple of days ago, El-P caught some heat for sharing his negative opinion over Pokémon Go, the app that’s turning children into Pokémasters and full-grown adults into Pokémon-hungry zombies. He eventually agreed that “Pokéman” is fun, shared an acapella rap about the pocket monsters via Instagram, and even challenged his fans to create a remix of his rap. Today, El-P took to Twitter to reveal the winner, but not before a “quick word” about the game itself and what it “means to our community.”

“The pokeman,” El-P tweeted, “is about love. love and poke-ing. together, through his love, we have found each other. together we strive for goodness.” After a number of tweets, it was announced that Edinburgh’s Kip Cozy was selected for his “moody, strange, rhythmically capable, atmospheric approach as well as generally capable level mixing.” Needless to say, Kip was thrilled.

Without further adieu, listen to Kip’s remix of El-P acapella Pokémon rap—a sentence that could only exist in 2016—and take a look at El-P’s tweets below.
