The past few days have been terrifying, to say the least. The various acts of violence by and towards the police around the country have filled people with an abundance of conflicting emotions. While many people have taken to social media to express their thoughts and worries, some artists are using their platform to share an important message on these events.

Late last night, Jay Z shared a new song, “Spiritual”—his first solo track in three years—to touch on the topic at hand. This followed a powerful open letter penned by his wife, Beyoncé, as well one by Drake.

Early this morning, Miguel shared his own feelings and shows support for the #BlackLivesMatter movement through a new song he calls “How Many.” Though he admits this is just the first rough version of the track, the results are still quite moving.

Miguel shared the track with a short message:

This version was started (written/recorded) here in London in my hotel room between the hours of 4am and around 7am when i passed out. ill update this song every week until its complete. Please feel free to share. #blacklivesmatter
