21 Savage's "Skrrt Skrrt" has been met with a lot of praise, and as it's common with songs that gain such popularity, they're bound to inspire some interesting reworks. Enter Mark Redito (fka Spazzkid), who takes "Skrrt Skrrt" into a completely different direction with a little help from the ever ubiquitous animated series, Pokémon.
Redito's reimagined version is worlds apart from the menacing original, the production now upbeat and bouncy as it samples from the Pokémon series. Its accompanying visuals offer an equally hypnotic experience—21 Savage performs the single live overtop Redito's backdrop at 88 Rising Temple as various Pokémon make cameos in the video.
This version of "Skrrt Skrrt" serves as the first installment of Beat Fighter, a new video/remix series by 88 Rising (the same people behind that viral "Rappers React to Rich Chigga's "Dat $tick" video). 88 Rising takes audio from live recordings and pairs them with a producer who's tasked to fold in a popular animated Asian series, such as Naruto or Sailor Moon.
