Earlier this month, YG announced that he would be releasing a new mixtape entitled Red Friday. Featuring the previously released single "One Time Comin'," the new mixtape is YG's second release of the year. The mixtape features appearances from RJ and Mitch, as well as 21 Savage. While the project sounds considerably more bare bones than Still Brazy, YG's signature sound remains intact for the 8-song release.
Across minimal production, YG does what he does best on Red Friday. While the mixtape isn't due to get a traditional physical release, YG recently announced that he'll be releasing a limited run of CDs for the mixtape. The limited run will consist of 1,400 CDs, each sold for $100 each. The idea stems from Nipsey Hussle's strategy of selling his 2013 mixtape Crenshaw for the same price, which ended up netting Nipsey $100,000 from only 100 copies.
