In May of last year, the usually-reclusive Sampha shared a note that concluded, "I'm looking forward to sharing my music with you again." Since then, he's made good on that promise with a few new songs, including appearances on Kanye West's The Life of Pablo and Solange's A Seat at the Table. After sharing "Timmy's Prayer" and "Blood On Me" from his upcoming album Process the singer is back with another one, "No One Knows Me (Like The Piano)."
The soulful track is an ode to the piano he learned how to play on when he was 3 years old, which was in his mother's house. According to a feature story in The Fader, the track was previously titled "Mother's Home" and was written around the time he moved back in with his mother during her final months.
Sampha's Process is out February 3. See the tracklist and upcoming tour dates here and listen to "No One Knows Me (Like The Piano)" below.
