It’s been a while since we’ve heard from British songstress Adele, but she’s back and gearing up for an early 2011 release called 21. She’s still got that powerful, soulful voice, but according to PMA, this album has some inspiration from country singers like Wanda Jackson and Alison Krauss. You can hear that influence in the stomping “Rolling in the Deep”. A soulful British singer inspired by country? Sounds about as awkward as a half Jewish Canadian child actor turned rapper…oh, wait. When Adele lets those vocal chords do work, she is the farthest thing from awkward. Very cool track, check it out below. Thanks to EarMilk.
