I’m really digging this song from Stratford five-piece My Grey Horse. It kind of sounds like something Weezer could make, if Weezer was from England and had a little more folk in them. Experimentation is great, but a lot bands are so caught up in expanding on the latest sonic trends that the emphasis on good songwriting gets put on the back burner. “Waste Of Air” succeeds in its simplicity – a crisp sound, warm harmonies, and a melody that is instantly lovable.

My Grey Horse are an alternative rock quintet formed by brothers John, Peter and Oobah Butler. Together with friends Tom Mott and Joe Nicklin, the five-piece began writing in mid-2008 and in late 2009 they began working on transforming the work into a live and working act.
