Comparing Drake‘s Take Care and Childish Gambino‘s Camp is a popular thing to do right now. Between recent comments on posts and Shoutbox conversation, it seems that everyone is pitting these two up against each other. It’s understandable, since both albums were released on the same day (yesterday), and since there are a few other similarities to these two.

Comparing the albums based on first week sales is unfair for a lot of reasons—mostly because Childish Gambino is on Glassnote, an indie label without the budget of Young Money and the Universal machine. If you ask me, both albums are really good. This isn’t about which is better, I just thought you might be interested in seeing the projected sales numbers and then maybe having another argument in the comments section. First Week Sales Projections

Childish Gambino – Camp: 45-50K
Drake – Take Care: 675-725K
