Earl Sweatshirt is back. It’s kind of a weird thing, because his absence was a bigger story than his return. Now that he’s back, he’s just doing normal shit and tweeting about it like everyone else. There were a lot of possibilities for Earl’s return, but when it comes down to it, everything is playing out in a pretty straightforward manner: Earl returns, finishes school, gets back into music.
Odd Future’s album, Odd Future Tape Vol. 2, comes out on March 20, and although he wasn’t mentioned on the tracklist, “Oldie” has surfaced, and at around 7 minutes in to the 10-minute song, Earl appears. And he’s still talking about fucking American terrorists, so I guess his time in Samoa hasn’t changed the direction of his music too much. Phew.
if you think that my oldie verse is an old verse, you’re stupid.
