Today, Pretty Much Amazing reintroduced the simple pleasure of pop-punk with this cover. You’re cringing; I can feel it. I don’t blame you. The genre has been misrepresented for years, as PMA points out, by bands that flush out all the punk with overly polished pop sweetness. But there’s a simple pleasure to some of those songs that you’ve probably already forgotten. Beast Make Bomb reminds us of that with this cover of “Flagpole Sitta” by 90s pop-punk band Harvey Danger. Check it out and travel back to a time when you secretly liked Simple Plan and American Pie was still in theaters.
